DP Day 2010: Site Leader Application

DP Day 2010: April 3rd

Thank you for joining The Detroit Partnership, and countless other volunteers for this exciting day of service-learning on April 3rd, 2010! Please thoroughly read and fill out ALL PARTS of this form by FEBRUARY 20th. Please email any questions or concerns to: Lisa or Brock.

What is your role on DP DAY?
Site leaders will act as the leader at each site in Detroit on the day of the event. Site leaders will work in pairs to oversee the volunteers and service project. Responsibilities include:
  • Attending a brief Site Leader Training March 23rd or 24th to learn about the logistics of the day, and the specific work for each site.
  • Communicating with your Community Coordinator (from the Planning Team) who will inform you about all information you will need as a site leader.
  • Contact the volunteers for your site before the event to remind them about the project.
  • Help organize and oversee volunteers on the day of the event, being enthusiastic and helpful!

Student Organization Participation

DP Day is a popular philanthropy event for student organizations to bond while they give back to the community. If you would like to register your student organization up for DP Day 2010, we will provide you and your student organization with everything you will need to make a difference in Detroit, including transportation, t-shirts, supplies, breakfast, lunch and snacks. Additionally, we will group all of your organization's members together at a site to encourage internal group bonding and the ability to network with other student organizations on campus.

We're sorry, but Site Leader applications for the 2009/2010 school year are now complete. However, there are still many other ways to get involved. You can join as a DP Day member, applications will be up soon. Check back often!
