Program Description
Students will be going down to Detroit once a week (50 minutes), for 8 weeks to educate Detroit Public School children on nutritional advice relevant to the kidney. There are many different time slots available for different public schools within Detroit.
The time you choose will be the time you go to the same school and class every week for 8 weeks. Currently we have 14 volunteers. We will be educating the students in groups of 2. There is one mandatory 2-3 hour training session that each member must attend prior to participating. While many students in this program are pre-med, this is not a requirement.

Program Description
Day of the week: Different for each group, 1 day per week
Leaves campus: Times vary per group, but you will be in Detroit for 50 minutes a week. You will arrive back in Ann Arbor around 2 hours and 15 minutes after you left.
Program start date: Each pairings of volunteers start at different times, depending on what was agreed with the school, and run for 8 weeks. The earliest programs have already began and the latest ones will start in late March. So you can join whenever!
Program end date: 8 weeks after beginning of program
