What is a site leader?

Site leaders act as the liaison between The Detroit Partnership and the volunteers and are in charge of 10-15 volunteers on DP Day.

What does a site leader do?

Prior to DP Day:

Site leaders must attend one of the two offered orientation dates:

  • Thursday, March 14 from 8:00-9:30 PM
  • Friday, March 15 from 8:00-9:30 PM

Additionally, site leaders should recruit friends and classmates to register as volunteers.

On DP Day (March 23, 2013)

Site leaders are responsible for keeping his/her volunteers aware, active, and motivated throughout the day. It is recommended that site leaders meet up and lead discussions with their volunteers a few days before DP Day for team-bonding and to distribute important information to his/her volunteers. Site leaders are an integral part of what makes DP Day run effectively.
